New bicycle storage shelter at Beacon Business Park
Those working on the Weston Road and Beacon Business Park in Stafford, now have a great incentive to cycle to work with the completed installation of a cycle unit at the site.
Funded by the Department for Transport’s Local Sustainable Fund, the new bike shelter was erected at the beginning of May.
The installation of the cycle unit is all part of the department’s Stafford’s Travel Options (INTO) initiative. It has been helping to promote alternative travel choices in the town, including walking, public transport, lift sharing and cycling, as to open up access to jobs, education and services for the local people.
Beacon Business Park were eager to join the initiative and help solve the too common problem of a lack of secure storage for cyclists. The cycling unit, located near the security lodge, is free to use and will no doubt be a welcome addition to the developing area.
