The 4,000 sq ft convenience store and four 1000sq ft retail units will bring in much-needed local amenities to this part of Stafford, where several new housing developments and existing businesses are generating demand.

The shops will be built on the Weston Road frontage of Beacon Business Park’s new 50 acre development zone, and are situated next to the plot for a pub restaurant which was granted planning permission earlier this year.

“Between 2015 and 2018, around 1,200 personnel and their families are expected to move into the proposed MOD Super Garrison nearby and 2,600 new homes are planned or under construction in the north of Stafford,” comments Alison Park a director of Beacon Business Park. “In addition, these shops will serve the many businesses on the Technology Park and Beacon Business Park, as well as visitors to the County Showground” and the wider local community.

Alongside these much needed new amenities, Beacon Business Park is promoting a range of commercial development plots to lease or purchase on a design-and-build basis, and expects to see some 2,000 jobs created.
