Transerv Europe doubles space on Beacon Business Park to facilitate expansion plans

Transerv Europe Limited, a tenant of Beacon Business Park in Stafford since August 2013, has recently doubled its space on the park, from 5,500 sq ft to 11,000 sq ft, to facilitate their expansion plans.

Following their recent Gold Safety Excellence Award from Drax Power for their impeccable safety record during works undertaken in 2015, Transerv looks keen to continue their success with this new expansion.  When the neighbouring plot became available on the business park, Transerv quickly took possession of it and have been busy installing a 20-tonne overhead gantry crane, a fully bunded floor, new offices, a new reception and a conference room.  Their existing office facility will now be occupied by their growing team of commissioning and site engineers.

Transerv is currently in the process of applying for an environmental permit for the new space, which will allow them to work more freely with components which contain insulation fluids, such as mineral oil and silicone fluid.  Once the bunded floor is completed and the environmental permit has been issued, it will allow the transportation of electrical components such as power transformers, tap changers and high voltage switchgear into their works for examination, testing, repair or reclamation.

Award-winning Transerv started with seven people in 2013 and specialises in the installation, commissioning and maintenance of power and distribution transformers. They now employ a total of 21 staff, the majority of whom are based in Stafford and the surrounding areas.  The new expansion and plans for further growth in the future are really positive for employment in the area.  The firm also supports young people in the early stages of their careers, working closely with the JCB Academy and offering an apprenticeship scheme.
